In the spirit of fairness, I humbly present some comments I have received via email regarding the blog. Since there are enough places on the web that host comment forums - which, unfortunately, become havens for those who fling insults - I don't have forums for blog comments. Bandwidth considerations, not enough time to perform moderator duties, and (perhaps) just plain laziness all figured in the decision to remain forum-free.
However, I do appreciate and read every comment that emerges in my mailbox, and I've included a few below. I have omitted ones that were primarily spam. I'll continue to add the comments from time to time, but, fair warning here, if you attack my integrity, patriotism, or taste in barbecue, there's not a snowball's chance that I'll quote you in a reprint.
